PROJECT: Mercer Slough Environmental Educational Center
Hayre McElroy & Associates is retained as the geotechnical engineer and special inspection agency of record. The project consists
of an educational center with multiple structures totaling approximately 12,000 square feet, boardwalks and trails, supporting facilities and
infrastructure. Building construction includes pin-pile foundations, pile caps, steel bracing, steel grade beams, structural wood floor
and framing. Additional construction items include boardwalks, a tree
house, gabion walls, earthworks, expanded polystyrene block, utilities, site work, and paving (permeable concrete and asphalt).
