Special Inspection and Materials Testing Services

Special inspection and materials testing services are critical to maintain quality construction and identify any construction elements that do not meet the required specification of a project. Our construction inspection and laboratory testing team have provided materials testing services on hundreds of commercial and public buildings,military infrastructure, bridge, highway, airfield, stadium, and mid and high-rise building construction projects. HMA's laboratory staff are certified through ACI for soils, concrete, mortar, grout, asphalt, and other construction materials.

Our in-house and mobile laboratories are fully equipped for testing geotechnical and construction materials. Laboratory tests are performed by experienced technicians and the results are reviewed by registered professional engineers. We maintain a very strict quality assurance program for testing, which has been reviewed and accepted under ISO 17052.

HMA's own quality assurance program is supplemented with inspection by governmental agencies, including Washington Association of Building Officials, and the Army Corps of Engineers to verify acceptance of our testing laboratories for work performed for their respective agencies and projects. Our laboratories are accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the International Accreditation Service (IAS), and the Cement and Concrete Reference Library (CCRL).
